The ZEMAN company was founded in October 1991 by the present acting secretary and owner, Mr. Libor Zeman. The activity of the company was based on production of working gloves, also production of textile workwear was added later on.

The turning point arised in 1993,when the company started to produce working and military footwear in Otrokovice. Production of shoe components,particularly rubber soles, started in 1994.

In 1997 the company was enlarged with Znojmo production plant, producing walking footwear since 1954. Present capacities of footwear production are 1.000.000 pairs per year. The company developement can be described also by progress of labor force - in 1991 mainly home production, at present 570 professional workers.

Nowadays, the footwear production is the only activity of ZEMAN.
